Southampton have announced the signing of experienced league one striker Nathan Tyson.
The 27-year-old comes from Championship side Nottingham Forest for £40,000 and will join up with the rest of the Southampton Squad today in time for the Pre-Season tie away at League 2 club Cheltenham.
Southampton Manager Dean Jones had this to say about the new signing...
"Nathan is a great player for League 1 and hopefully Championship once we get there! He's a bargain and will fight for his first team place with David Connolly."
He added "He's a bargain at £40,000 and easily resellable if it doesn't work out...but I'm sure Nathan will prove to be a great signing! He's fast, a good finisher and will be hoping to get at least 10 goals for the club in the league this season."
