Jones snaps up Alejandro Maranon!

Friday 28th August, 2009

The Southampton Manager has continued to strengthen his squad with the arrival of Spanish free agent Alejandro Maranon. The Left Back was released in the Summer from Spanish-side Real Murcia. This comes after Southampton have been struggling to find cover for the LB position due to long-term injuries to both Dan Harding and youngster Joseph Mills.

New signing Maranon at Murcia last Season.

Maranon spent 1 Season playing for Spanish Giants Sevilla.
Jones has had this to say about it- "Alejandro has joined us to strengthen the squad if Dan Harding or Joseph Mills are injured. He's experienced in the Spanish divisions although this is the first time he has attempted to ply his trade in a foreign Country, let's see how he does."

Maybe u should be Celtic?? Put them and rangers in the English leagues or something to really spice things up!
